ADVANCED MANUFACTURING OPEN HOUSE

On Tuesday, April 27, Berks Career and Technology Center hosted an Advanced Manufacturing Open House at the West Campus. The event was open to the public.

The open house provided the opportunity to learn about the many career opportunities available in the expanding field of Advanced Manufacturing. Featured programs included: Computerized Machining Technology, Drafting Design Technology/AutoCAD, Electronics Technology, Industrial Maintenance Apprenticeship, Machinist Tool Technology, Pre-Engineering (Project Lead the Way), Robotics and Automation Technology, and Welding Technology.

Program instructors, industry representatives, and representatives from Reading Area Community College and Penn State , BCTC’s community partners, were all on hand to talk about the details of these exciting specialized day and evening programs for high school and adult students.
