The Adult Day School at BCTC offers opportunities for persons seeking new careers or upgraded training in technical fields and the trades.Students come from all walks of life; some have had little work experience, while others have a strong work history but, due to circumstances beyond their control, are no longer employed. The hands-on learning atmosphere, technically up-to-date labs, and flexibility of scheduling are some of the features that adults find appealing. Students who complete the program receive a BCTC Certificate ofCompetency.
Adult day students are integrated into Berks Career and Technology Center’s secondary school-year programs on a space-available basis. The flexibility of the competency-based, self-paced curriculum allows for adult enrollment throughout the school year. In addition,persons interested in a career in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technology will find an adults-only program that operates year round.
