| Auto Collision Technicians
are skilled workers who repair collision damaged vehicles by
repairing
and/or replacing damaged components using state-of-the-art repair
methods, preparing for refinish and by performing painting applications
consistent with current industry standards.
This Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified curriculum
will train you in the basic skills of metal straightening,
use of hand and power tools, and the removal and replacement
of damaged structural components by bolting, using special
adhesives or by the practical use of MIG welding methods. The
application of primer surfaces, sealers, and topcoat (finish
coat) paint products is also taught. You will learn basic estimating
skills and develop competence in unibody alignment and frame
straightening procedures.
