| BCTC’s Information Technology:
Programming course covers various methods of collecting, compiling,
and analyzing large quantities of data to satisfy our society’s
ever-increasing need for information. With increasing frequency,
it is apparent that an understanding of IT and the modern computer
is a necessary part of general education for students who live
and work in our technologically dependent society.
The curriculum is designed to provide instruction in basic
computer operations, and computer program design and preparation.
Students utilize a modern, state-of-the-art, time-sharing computer
system and its associated peripheral equipment to analyze live-problems
and to learn business and scientific computer languages. They
gather data, enter it into the computer system and design,
prepare, test, and place into a productive state, computer
programs to analyze the data.
