| Visual Imaging and Design
Technology is the business of preparing artwork to sell products
or services - usually
allied closely to the fields of advertising or printing. Some of
the jobs in graphic imaging are in advertising, layout, graphic
or packaging design, and computer graphics. BCTC’s course
is designed to teach skills in creating visual images and utilizing
artist’s media such as sketch or layout pencils, design markers,
inks and computer software for layout, illustration or design.
In this program, you will prepare design and advertising projects
from the idea stage through to camera ready mechanicals or
files while working closely with photography and production
students. You will complete a portfolio which will help you
obtain a co-op job or placement for additional training
and education.
