Contact the Adult/Continuing Education Department at 610-743-7630 to set up an appointment to tour BCTC's state-of-the-art facilities.
Complete an Adult Day School Application and return to BCTC with a check made payable to BCTC for the non-refundable application fee to: BCTC Continuing Education 1057 County Rd. Leesport, PA 19533.
Complete the three (3) background clearances listed below:
1)A Federal Criminal History Report (Act 114). This is a fingerprint-based background check. Register via the web at: https://uenroll.identogo.com/
Use the BCTC registration code 1KG6NX. During registration you will be asked to make an appointment at a local testing site to make a payment and complete the fingerprinting process. After fingerprints are completed, call BCTC Continuing Education with the UE ID number.
2)A Child Abuse Clearance can be processed online at www.compass.state.pa.us/CWIS. Online applicants are required to create an account and can pay by using a credit card. Be sure to check the box for school employee governed by the Public School Code. You will receive an email notifying you your clearance is complete. Print the clearance letter and present the original letter to the Continuing Education Department prior to the first day of class, at which time a copy will be made and retained by the school. Reports shall be no more than one (1) year old when received by BCTC.
3)A Criminal History Record (Act 34) must be obtained online via PATCH (Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History) at https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.jsp. Click on Submit a New Record Check. Accept the terms and conditions and enter "Other" as Reason For Request. Enter personal information. On the Record Check Request Form enter the information regarding who the record check is for. This may be the same information as the Personal Information Page. Do Not include dashes or spaces in the Social Security line. Click Enter this request and then Submit. The next page will be for your payment information. On the Record Check Details Page, look for the blue text that says "Certification Form" and click on it. This will bring up your clearance. Print two (2) copies. Keep a copy for your records and bring a copy to the BCTC Continuing Education offfice.
All costs related to acquiring the required clearances are the sole responsibility of the applicant. The Continuing Education Department will review background checks with criminal and/or Child Abuse records and make a recommendation for enrollment acceptance or denial following the same guidelines as BCTC employees and in the best interest of the school (Reference BCTC Board Policy 125).
