On Thursday, April 11th, West Campus Berks Career and Technology Center hosted a culinary alumni event that welcomed over 60 alumni back to their old stomping grounds of BCTC. Friends, collegues and generations that have passed through the campus doors, shared their favorite culinary memories with their previous instructors. “The night was all I wanted it to be! The food that was put together by the current culinary students was wonderful and Chef Hammond and Chef DeNault were gracious hosts,” Heidi Moll, culinary arts alumni and current instructional assistant for BCTC, said. “We had a slide show of more then 300 pictures of past and current culinary students and instructors.”
Chef Squibb (‘75) helped to faciliate this whole night by working with current instructors Chef Hammond and Chef DeNault who in turn, worked with current culinary students to create a wonderful array of food. “The Culinary Alumni Night was a great experience to network with graduates and learn what their next steps were after BCTC," Chef Albert DeNault, said.
