FCCLA Students take the Gold Silver and Bronze

Several students from BCTC East and West campuses attended the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Conference in Pocono Manor, Pa. 

Congratulations to our students who will be attending Nationals:

  • Food Innovations: Autumn Schabener, Exeter SD and Geoffery Nagle, Boyertown SD, Gold Award
  • STAR Event/Advocacy: Sienna Montalvo, Governor Mifflin SD, and Austina Stong, Conrad Weiser SD, Gold Award Event/Advocacy, Gold Award. 
  • Illustrated Talk: Megan Goetz, Boyertown SD, Silver Award

Congratulaitons to Madison Zazzi, from Daniel Boone SD, who received a scholarship and silver recognition for the Baking category.

FCCLA is open to students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education, Culinary Arts, and Service Occupations programs. Emphasis is on promoting personal growth and leadership development through family and consumer science education, focusing on the multiple roles of family members, wage earners, and community leaders.
