The Berks Career & Technology Center (BCTC) and the Berks Career & Technology Center Education Foundation are proud to announce a generous $7,500 contribution from Tompkins Community Bank to advance career and technical education opportunities for Berks County students.
This donation, made through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, strengthens the Foundation’s mission to enhance student learning, expand access to hands-on experiences, and support pathways that prepare students for high-demand careers.
Tompkins Community Bank has a well-established reputation for investing in the communities it serves. Guided by values such as integrity, empowerment, community impact, and a commitment to long-term local success, the bank continues to support youth, education, and workforce development across the region.
“We are deeply grateful for Tompkins Community Bank’s commitment to the future of Berks County students and to workforce development in Berks County and beyond,” said Bob Heckman, BCTC Education Foundation President. “Their support helps ensure BCTC can continue offering meaningful, real-world learning opportunities that prepare students to excel,” added Dr. Michael Stauffer, Executive Director of BCTC.
Representing Tompkins Community Bank, Susan T. Belfer, Vice President and Business Development Officer, presented the donation. Belfer oversees staff and leads community and business relationship development in her role, helping strengthen the bank’s ties to regional organizations and education partners.
“Supporting career and technical education is essential to building a strong workforce,” said Belfer. “We are proud to help expand opportunities for students pursuing their future careers at BCTC.”
