SeAL Challenge Success! BCTC students took on real-world engineering missions—and came out on top!
At the 2025 Sea, Air, & Land (SeAL) Challenge, held right here at our West Campus, student teams put their robotic builds to the test against military-inspired obstacles. After weeks of design, coding, and collaboration, two of our Land Challenge teams earned a spot on the podium:

BCTC students got a powerful, hands-on lesson in electrical safety thanks to Met-Ed’s Powerline Safety Demo. Their mobile safety trailer visited our campuses to highlight the hidden dangers of electricity and teach students how to stay safe around electrical equipment—knowledge that’s critical both on the job and in everyday life.
The trailer was packed with real-world equipment found in neighborhoods, including power lines, transformers, systems that take power from overhead lines into underground networks, and sample homes receiving both types of service.
Huge thanks to Met-Ed for bringing the trailer and sharing your expertise!
